Cache or PDF generation time improvement

It takes more than 5 seconds to generate a PDF on our site. My customer is not happy about that.

Is there some method to improve generation time?

We are contentiously working on optimization however PDF generation is complex and resource hungry process and it depends on many factors like if it's used or not used images / the size of original PDF (if used) / "Flatten" option / "Fonts".

So you can try to:
- Try to switch API at "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" to see if it will speed up the process
- Set "Flatten" option to "Yes"
- If it's used custom fonts - reduce the number of custom fonts used or replace with the font which will have less size
- Review if you can reduce the size of pre-uploaded PDF (If used)

Is it possible to remove the first font from the list?

Hi,

Unfortunately no, it's not possible to remove default font however if you set default font under E2Pdf Template to other as on attached screenshot - it will not be used and included in PDF. Also in latest versions it was added "Fonts" cache, you can check if it's enabled at "E2Pdf" -> "Settings".
