Hi,

You can try to set button icon / image with "HTML" via "Button Title" as globally as (Screenshot attached):

or you can make just single shortcode to output URL and use "HTML" as:

<a href='[e2pdf-download id="213" output="url"]'><img src="https://www.nicepng.com/png/detail/242-2424173_picture-library-download-download-from-cloud-icon-free.png"></a>

* where 213 is your Template ID.
