Hello,

I need to place a pdf inside my template.
It is a swiss QR code bill.

I use an image field and link to the pdf in my media library.
In the settings of the images field i choose 144dpi resolution which looks quiet blurry when printing and viewing online.
Is there a way to either set that to 300dpi or to use the pdf inside the pdf as it is?

The original pdf has vector fonts and is not pixel based.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the PDF is currently inserted as a rasterized image, which can lead to quality issues when the original PDF is small. At present, the maximum resolution is set to 144 DPI.

Our team is reviewing the possibility of improving this limitation. We will get back to you as soon as there is an update on this issue.

We would really appreciate your feedback at WordPress.org!

Hello,

Okay thank you for that information. Would it be better to create a really large jpg or png from the pdf and place that instead? Will it look better? Another idea could be placing an .eps or .svg – is this possible?

SVG files are supported. If the image is static, this would be the best option.

Oh great I will try that. Also i have just found out that the quality of the pdf is way better when i download and print it instead of printing directly from firefox.

Thank you very much
