Hello, I am having a problem with the way the auto generated PDF works. Please look at the form on this page: https://wssra.org/thurstoncounty/secondary-mini-grant/ You can see that the form has a number of large size text boxes for students to enter information. At the end of the process they are given a link to print the PDF, but their text that they entered into the boxes is mostly hidden in small boxes on the PDF. see attachment.

In addition, all of the html boxes are also shortened so that the information is not all displayed. It turns out that this is very unacceptable to my client. Do I have to hand build the PDF? That seems like it makes this plugin pretty useless to me.

Hi,

Actually "Auto PDF" - is generating "draft" template with needed form fields. You can move/resize/copy/add any elements inside E2Pdf Template directly. If static HTML is shortened just increase the size of block to fit HTML.

Regarding the "textarea" size - unfortunately all elements must have predefined size and static positions inside PDF. One solution at this moment is try to create/resize "textarea" field inside E2Pdf Template which will be bigger than can be user input.

We are working on possibility to split content between textarea/html inputs but it's under "Release Candidate" phase and will be released as soon as pass all tests.

You can check this video on YouTube to see some actions with generated fields.

Thank you for your reply. I have seen that I can adjust the fields and even adjust the size of the text boxes. What I am seeing is that because nearly every box needs to be bigger, I boxes will need to be moved to new pages. they have to be cut and pasted to the new page. It is tedious. I really wish the PDF could just look like the completed form, or even the email that is sent.

Unfortunatally yes, it's not perfect at this moment but for sure this feature will be improved in future.

Hi,

We just released an update (1.03.00) where "Auto PDF" was improved. It must now respect the size of "HTML" elements and "Field" labels. There are still some points that need some work and we will go on with improvements of this feature.

If you face any issues with new "Auto PDF" let us know. Thank you.
