Dynamic page content not loading when shortcode is added

Hi, I am currently using the free 1 template version of the plugin to evaluate it for a use case I have.

I have configured a pdf using the wordpress extension and the item is a custom post type. When using the shortcode with a static dataset on pages within my site the pdf is downloading. The issue is when I add the shortcode to the the content template for the custom post type the dynamic content for the post does not load on the page and the shortcode does not display the download link.

The content template is designed using Beaver Builder (I tried the fix on this post https://e2pdf.com/support/desk/dynamic-dataset-id-with-wordpress-page-builder-beaver-builder)
The custom post type is configured using Toolset Types

Hi,

As we understand you are using "Beaver Themer" for templates. If so, unfortunately E2Pdf was not tested with pre-made templates layouts. The fix that you attached the link already included in latest version, however it was tested only with pages/posts built directly with Beaver Builder and not with layouts, and it seems it has a bit different filters/hooks applied so make shortcode work dynamically.

If it's acceptable for you can you please attach "Beaver Themer" plugin to next message so we can check the fastest we can if we can release a fix for it? You can mark message "private" so only we can see the message. It will be useful if you attach screenshot how shortcode added to template. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I am only using beaver builder to build post layouts I am not using beaver theme. I will try get some screenshot together. My set up is I am creating custom post types with Toolset and then designing the layout of those posts with beaver builder. It's on the beaver builder posts where I can either display the download ahortcode link or the post content but not both.

Dynamic shortcodes trying to detect the Post ID where it's placed to know for which post must be generated PDF. For some themes/3rd arty plugins it's required to add some filters to detect it correctly, however it must work with Beaver Builder and Tooset. Maybe it's changing the Post ID somehome. It can be truncated in 2 cases:
- If it failed to get Post ID due some case or specific setup.
- If Post ID from the page where shortcode placed doesn't match the item (Custom Post Type) to which E2Pdf Template connected.

Hi, thank you very much for detailed information.

It was already released RC version with fix for current issue. You can apply update now by turning on updates from "e2pdf.com". Option can be enabled at "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" -> "Release Candidate Builds" (screenshot). After enabling this option you must be able to check for updates at "Dashboard" -> "Updates" and update plugin as usual to version 1.14.08.

It's recommended to turn off this option after update
