There is any way for the plugin to be soon GDPR compliant?

I understand that the creation of the PDF has to be in your servers but can it be a limitation if requested to be processed by servers located in Europe?

Hi,

Currently we didn't get any requests about any limitations. If it will be such requests we will add possibility to select API Server to be used for PDF generation which will be located in EU.

Dear Oleksandr,

By definition GDPR rules means that the personal data should stay inside EU servers. Unfortunetly without this option all your european clients are risking not to be compliant and there is a chance to get big fines.

Can I request this option for this account?

Hi,

We just released an update (1.13.28) which has the ability to choose EU API server for PDF generation.

It can be changed at "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" -> "API Server". You can choose api3.e2pdf.com or api4.e2pdf.com.

We are still watching on new API server stability and performance so if it will be any issues, let us know please.

It works!!

Thank you very much for this update. It really makes a big difference for european users.

Not just that you have a very good product but you also have a very good support system and adapt to your client needs. It would also help if you mention this new option in your Privacy Service. Is the place where the Data Protection Officers are looking and validate or not the use of a product.

Will extend the use of your product to more projects now :)

Thank you.

Yes, sure. We are currently working on updating our Privacy Policy and Terms of Conditions, so we hope that it must not be any issues with using our product in EU.

This is great what you are doing but there is one point left to the GDPR. If you are working with personal data you need to make a data processing agreement with our client because you can theoretically see the data on your servers ... even if they are in EU.

So for me it seems that we can just use your old intranet-plugin.
