I have a PDF whose title is based on a variable from user input. I had a user input text that made the title "Komro Sales & Service", and he came to me experiencing issues getting the PDF to generate. For reference, the shortcode that generates the link being clicked on is [e2pdf-download id="10" dataset="[id]" button-title="Yes"].

In Firefox and Chrome, the file name generates as "Komro Sales & Service-Invoice-10028-04-21-19.pdf", which is fine (it'd be better if the "&" were just &, but not a major deal). In Microsoft Edge, what gets generated is "Komro Sales &.txt", so what appears to be happening is the rest of the file name is getting truncated and therefore the .pdf filename is not being properly added.

My employees use a mix of all 3 browsers, so if it'd be possible to fix this bug in Edge, that'd be great. If not, I'll just modify the file name so that it is fixed somehow to prevent the & symbol from being used. I haven't tested to see if any other special characters result in a similar manner. Thanks!

Hi,

We could replicate issue with amp; and we expect update on next week to fix this, but unfortunately we was not able to replicate issue with Microsoft Edge. In our case the name is generated the same way as with "Chrome" and "Firefox". Maybe do you have some information about OS and version of Microsoft Edge to speed up investigating the issue? Thank you.

Here is a video first showing the .txt issue when generating the PDF in Microsoft Edge, followed by it working correctly in Firefox: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QDCTAfvhBw&feature=youtu.be

You'll see where I show the Settings on Edge, which shows I'm using Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0 / Microsoft EdgeHTML 17.17134, and I am not using any Extensions in Edge. Let me know if you need any other information that I can help with. Thanks!

Hi,

We just released an update (1.07.02) where issue with incorrect amp; encoding inside filename must be solved. Let us know please if after update you are still facing same issue with your version of Microsoft Edge or any incorrect encoding with Chrome/Firefox. Thank you.
