I've got the same form on 2 different websites and the same E2PDF template in use on these 2 websites as well.

On the findyourfuture.us site (https://findyourfuture.us/programs/young-adults/kickstart/) in the form action that sends a notification when the form is submitted I have put "[e2pdf-attachment id="1"]" in the "Message" field and nothing else. I simply want the pdf to be created and attached when someone submits the form. When I test the form it doesn't attach the pdf file and instead it prints out the form with the answers that were typed into the form.

On the 2nd website https://mcwfc.su I have this exact same form on this page: https://mcwfc.us/job-seekers/career-development/. When I test that form it attaches the pdf file but still is printing out the form fields with answers as well. Earlier when I tested this form it was only attaching the pdf.

I don't remember making any changes since I last tested the form on mcwfc.us and am not sure why this is happening.

Any ideas on how to fix the issues on both sites?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Unfortunately we can't replicate an issue on our side.

1. If you modify email body by adding some text will it be changed when you receive email? Also can you try to remove [e2pdf-attachment] shortcode and see if behavior will change?

2. Can you please attach screenshots of how mail action set?

3. Do you get all form data as it used [default-message] shortcode?

3. Do you use any 3rd party mail plugins?

3. When PDF not attached:
- Can you recheck if your E2Pdf Template connected to correct form and activated?
- Check if you do NOT have checkbox checked "Send Emails in Plain Text".

Additional information:

We could replicate issue with adding fields information. It looks like Formidable Forms using [default-message] shortcode if mail body is empty, so adding some text to mail body must solve issue.

As about not attached PDF, recheck please information under point 3.

I added some text to the Message field on the mcwfc.us site and that fixed the issue. On the site that is not attaching the pdf I also added text which solved the issue of printing the default form. Unfortunately, it is still not attaching a pdf.

I checked and the template is activated. I've attached screenshots.

I'm at a loss. I've checked and I have the same settings on both sites.

I purchased a 2nd license so I could use this template on a 2nd site. And I used the same license key on the 2nd site. Could that be the issue?

Hi,

Your E2Pdf Template is not connected to Form. It's showing Item as "-". You must go to Template edit and reconnect it via "Options". (screenshot attached).

That made the attachment work!

Thanks!

I opened the pdf attachment and found that most of the fields were not filled out though. Any idea why this is happening? I had it all working on the original form and template which I moved a copy of over to this 2nd site.

Hi,

If you imported/recreated form independently from E2Pdf - Formidable Forms change Field IDs and inside E2Pdf Template it remains the same.

You can switch to use Field Keys instead of Field IDs in "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" -> "Formidable Forms" -> "Use Field Keys" however it will not change currently mapped fields. In most cases Formidable Forms Field Keys remain the same on import.

Another solution could be to "Backup" E2Pdf Template with "Item" and import it with it. In this case E2Pdf will try to create form and remap fields with new field IDs.
