Hi,

Can you please attach any of PDFs which will have this artifacts? Do the images have high resolution? Are you using "flatten" option set to "yes"? Is it set "Compression" option to not "Default"?

Hi Oleksandr,

Thank you for your quick reply,

Please find 2 PDF´s files attached.

Flatten is set no "No" and compression is set to "default". I have tried to change theses options but the result is the same.

Images are not too big, the average pdf file size created is around 2 mb.

Another strange thing is that sometimes the PDF is being generated, downloaded but then it´s not oppening (gives a corrupt file error)

Thanks,

Nuno.

We see that images have artifacts but we still can not replicate an issue. In the sources we see that already corrupted image was inserted to PDF.

1. Do you get same artifacts for same images? Or it's random each time?

2. Are you using any wordpress shortcodes to change image dimension? Or it's original image?

If it's custom shortcode which changes image dimension/size, can you please try to create input field with same shortcode as image generated, to render its path and check if non corrupted image generated on your side. If the source on your side is okay but PDF has image with artifacts, please attach image sources that rendered with artifacts, so we can try to replicate issue with them.

3. Regarding non opened PDF, is the issue also random? Or same bug for same export entries? Can you also please attach such downloaded PDF so we can check if it contains any errors in structure. Thank you.

PDF is generating properly with your images, if requested remotely or locally from our server. We have suspicion that the issue can be in settings of server, as if image is under same domain E2Pdf tries to get it via local path for faster generation.

If it's possible, can you try please to increase post_max_size and memory_limit on your server? and check if bug will still appear. Corrupted PDF looks like connected with same issue.

P.S. If it will not help, try please to check which URL will be generated if you put [meta key="estate_gallery" path="0" attachment_url="true"] shortcode to PDF textarea field. Just to be sure that url that is generated not changed. If not changed, let us know also please PHP version that you are using. Thank you.

Hi,

It's because your PDF remain editable after generation and showing editable fields is depending on the viewer. To make it "readonly" just set "flatten" option to "Yes", while editing E2Pdf Template. (screenshot attached).

Hi,

We just released update (1.09.03) with possibility to disable Local Images requests. Can you try please to turn this option "on" to see if images will still render with artifacts. Thank you.

It can be turned at "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" -> "Local Images" "Load via Remote Request"

Good afternoon Oleksandr,

Just updated to the last version of the plugin and activated the "Load via Remote Request" with same artifacts result on the images.

I don´t know if it´s a problem related but i can download and view PDF without problems using Google Chrome but with Firefox and Safari i get download errors (images attached)

Thanks,

Nuno

Good afternoon Oleksandr,

After some struggle around i think i found the reason of all the problems.

A few week ago i have installed this wordpress plugin: WP Hide & Security Enhancer

Just deactivated it and e2pdf is working just fine! No artifacts, no problem downloading with Firefox or Safari!

Is there a way of having e2pdf and WP Hide & Security Enhancer working together without conflicting?

Sorry for all that mess!!!

Nuno
