Formidable Signature Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm trying to get a signature from Formidable to display on a PDF and I'm at a loss for how to get it to work.

I've attempted to use the Signature field in the PDF builder as well as the Image object.

I've triple-checked the Value in the Properties and tried adding size='full' to the field ID.

I've tested both the typed signature as well as drawing one.

I've tried different Flattening settings.

What am I missing? Is there a step-by-step guide to using signatures with the required settings?

It must work as any other fields: It's neede just to create a "Signature" object inside E2Pdf Template and map it with Formidable Forms "Signature" Field shortcode as: [123]. Keep attention that "E-Signature" must NOT be checked. (Screenshot 1)

If it still doesn't work:
1. Check if the created Formidable Forms Entry contains the "Signature"
2. If it contains: create please "textarea" and map it with your Formidable Forms "Signature" Field shortcode as [123]. On PDF generation It must generate the URL to the "Signature". Copy URL to image and check if it can be opened in the browser. If it's available - share please that URL or attach please that PDF to the next message. We need to see the full path to the generated image. (You can mark the message "Private" so only we can see the message).

P.S. If it's the local website be sure that you didn't set the option to load Local Images Remotely at "E2Pdf" -> "Settings". (Screenshot 2)

Hm, strange. Do you use the latest Formidable Forms / Formidable Forms signature plugin? In the PDF we see that for some reason, your signature generates without Website URL...

Can you try please modify "Value" of "Signature" field inside E2Pdf Template via "Right Mouse Click" -> "Properties" -> "Value" to:

[e2pdf-format-output search="/wp-content/" replace="https://example.com/wp-content/"][123][/e2pdf-format-output]

* https://example.com - replace with your domain name
** [123] replace with your Formidable Forms Signature Field ID.

Check please if the both: Typed and Drawn signatures will work.

P.S. If it will work we also recommend using "Flatten" option to "Yes" instead of "Full" for E2Pdf Template.

I do use the latest versions of all of these plugins: Formidable Pro: 5.4.2 / Formidable Signatures: 2.07. The site I'm working on is barely a month old and is pretty minimal.

Thinking through this, I was curious if a security plugin could've been throwing it off. I deactivated iThemes Security, but that didn't have any noticeable effect.

As for changing the Value of the Signature field as suggested: that worked! But only with the Drawn signature. The Typed version didn't display. What does that tell you?

Other possible culprits: I'm playing with a new FSE theme on this site (frostwp.com), and I have it hosted on Microsoft Azure. I tried switching to Twenty Twenty-Two, but that didn't change anything. I'm new to Azure as a host; I don't know if some configuration unknown to me would affect this.

Can you check please if you did NOT set the "Only Image" option under E2Pdf "Signature" field? Screenshot attached. If it's not set, can you try please to create another "Image" object / "Signature" object and map it with some static text as "Value": 123. Try to export. If it will not be generated images with static text - it looks like E2Pdf can't generate "images" for some reason.

If it will be also included FTP access details it will make debug process much faster for us.
