Hello,

I came across your plugin and was hoping this will work for us. We were looking at forGravity but they do not support Gravity Wiz nested forms. https://gravitywiz.com/documentation/gravity-forms-nested-forms/

So before we move forward may you answer some questions please.
1. Do you support Gravity Wiz plugin?
2. Do you support Gravity View plugin?
3. Do you support uploading an original pdf file?
Example: We will need to fill in government pdf forms and we are not allowed to redo them. So we need a way to map them in their original state. Here is the url of the copyright form we will be uploading.
https://www.copyright.gov/forms/formtx.pdf

The nested forms (Gravity Wiz) are used to add an author on the copyright pdf form, which is 2a, 2b and 2c

If you need further information please let me know.

Thank you
Jennifer

Oh yea, I forgot do you allow us to upgrade and pay the difference of cost? We might want to start on a smaller package and then work our way up.

Thank you

Hi,

1. Unfortunately E2Pdf was not tested with Gravity Wiz plugin. You can attach plugin so we can check its comparability and review if we can add its support if it will not work by default. You can mark message "Private" so only we can see the message and download it.

2. If you mean https://gravityview.co/, yes, it's possible to use with it to output download link. It can be used "Custom Content" with shortcode inside as example: [e2pdf-download id="104" dataset="{entry_id}"], where 104 is the ID of your E2Pdf Template.

3. E2Pdf support uploading pre-made PDFs, however fields will be recreated with E2Pdf with font which is set inside E2Pdf Template and by default the name of fields will be changed, however you can revert PDF field names back by setting "As Field Name" checkbox on each field by "Right Mouse Click" -> "Properties" (screenshot attached). Also it will be notice on PDF file that it was modified. So we are not sure if such behavior will be acceptable by you. We attached PDF how it will look like after filling up.

As about upgrade, actually we have this by default + as bonus you will get +1 year.

We remain at your service.
We would really appreciate your feedback at WordPress.org!

The test file you provided looks pretty good. I noticed none of the check boxes were checked. Is this supported?

Also, is a signature supported?

For now just files will be enough, thank you. We will review it as soon as possible.

Notice will be in file properties (screenshot 1).

As about checkboxes and radio buttons - they supported (screenshot 2, 3).

If you plan to use Gravity Forms signature - yes, it's also supported as on our demo: https://demo.e2pdf.com/gravity-forms/

I just downloaded your free version to test this out. I am having some trouble and was hoping you could help before purchasing your plugin.

1. I cannot get the multiselect boxe to work like yours. How do I incorporate the multiselect into the pdf fillable form?
see images SelectChoice.jpg

2. The signature does not show at all. How do I get the signature to show?
See image Signature.jpg

3. The font size is not changing. It stays the same size no matter what I change it to. How do I make the font smaller?
Fonts.jpg

4. I am noticing the lines for the check boxes have faded out. How can I fix that? Do I have to manually add borders around each box or is there a fix so it does it automatically?
Borders.jpg

Also for a support option does the paid version allow you to select multiple fields under the Map Field Area? For example I have an address field and I had to manually add the gravity short codes because I could not choose more than one selection when using the Map Field?
See image Fields.jpg

Thank you
Jennifer

Hi,

1. Mutliselect field can't be correctly mapped to checkbox via "Visual Mapper" as it will be assigned all values to "Option". After mapping you must modify manually the "Option" which is under checkbox and leave only needed value. (screenshot 1). Checkbox will be checked if "Option" value will be found inside rendered "Value".

2. Try please to remove "E-Signature" checkbox (screenshot 2), as if "checkbox" selected field will be converted to Adobe Signature field which must be signed via E-Signature and not with image/text.

3. If you are using pre-uploaded PDF it could be that fields has own font size which overwrite global value. You can remove value or modify by "Right Mouse Click" -> "Properties" -> "Font Size" (screenshot 3)

4. Yes, it could be that you need to update each field with border as in some cases E2Pdf can't correctly detect its border.

5. Free version has 100% same features as paid version. The difference is only in number of activated templates and unlocked unlimited pages features. However to map multiple values into one field you can do by unchecking "Replace Value" and "Auto Close" checkboxes under "Visual Mapper". (screenshot 4) In this case "Visual Mapper" will try to merge values into 1 field without closing "Visual Mapper".

Hi,

Thank you for your patience. We currently reviewed GravityWiz Nested Forms and it seems supported by default in E2Pdf, however it has some lack of functionality and some issues with output some data correctly required for E2Pdf (like checkbox). We will try to reach GravityWiz support on this week to ask if they can add missed functions and fix some issues. However GravityWiz shortcodes must work correctly regarding this documentation https://gravitywiz.com/documentation/gravity-forms-nested-forms/:
For example: {Nested Form:1:filter[3]}

Meanwhile we also released an RC Build update (1.13.07) which add possibility to overwrite data output exactly for E2Pdf. To update to this version now set please "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" -> "Release Candidate Builds" (Update from E2Pdf.com) (screenshot). Check for plugin updates, and update plugin to 1.13.07. It's recommended to turn off this option after update

With updated plugin it will be possible to use custom templates via PHP to output data.

For example it can be created file under path:
/wp-content/themes/path_to_your_active_theme/gp-nested-forms/e2pdf/nested-entries-simple-list.php
With code: https://codeshare.io/2jBKmB

----------------------------------------------------
It will add possibility to output separated data for each child entry in PDF with "index" attribute.

The usage will look like this:
{Nested Form:1:filter[2],index[0]}

Description:
Nested Form:1 - is nested form Field ID inside parent form
filter[2] - is Field ID under child form to output
index[0] - will output value for first entry inside

For 2nd entry:
{Nested Form:1:filter[2],index[1]}
For 3rd entry:
{Nested Form:1:filter[2],index[2]}

And so on...

As soon as we will get update from GravityWiz with any information we will let you know.

Hi,

We just sent them an email so hope will get back response soon. However if you do not have complex fields (checkboxes, radio) inside Nested Form you must be able to use the solution to output data inside PDF that were described on the previous message.

Hi,

We just got an updated plugin (1.0.beta.8.74) from Gravity Wiz team with modification which will allow to use out of the box such shortcodes as:

{Nested Form:1:filter[2],index[0]}

* Where 2 is Field ID and 0 is number of index nested entry to output data.

Currently we are now working on integration it with our "Visual Mapper" to make it easy to map, however, if you also got latest version (1.0.beta.8.74) you must be able to use such shortcodes inside E2Pdf manually.

I have a current situation. When I add the short code [e2pdf-view id="1"] to a page the pdf does not show up on the front end. This is for a template. Is there a reason why it will not show up?

Please let me know, thank you.

This goes with the message up above. It will show if I place the short code under confirmations tab in Gravity Forms but not on a page.

Hi,

Can you try to modify shortcode to:

[e2pdf-view id="1" dataset="{entry_id}"]

If it will not work:
- Do you use Gravity Forms Post Content Merge Tags to output data on custom page? If yes, attach please this plugin to next message.

Thank you.

Hi,

Is there any reason why you used [e2pdf-view id="1" dataset="{1}"] instead of [e2pdf-view id="1" dataset="{entry_id}"] shortcode? We just checked and it's working as expected if shortcode inserted directly as:

[e2pdf-view id="1" dataset="{entry_id}"]

As about error, it fired due incorrectly set of dataset, however we currently released a fix for it. You can update to RC Build update (1.13.11) which fix Fatal Error if dataset is incorrectly set. To update to this version now set please "E2Pdf" -> "Settings" -> "Release Candidate Builds" (Update from E2Pdf.com). Check for plugin updates, and update plugin to 1.13.11.

It's recommended to turn off this option after update

Hi,

We see that after filling form it redirects user to page:

https://yoursite.com/property-tax-protest-form-completed/#gf_13

However it must looks like this:

https://yoursite.com/property-tax-protest-form-completed/?eid=4c0bc4

where "eid" is the identifier of submitted entry. We saw on your previous examples that url was correct, however we just noticed that you didn't enable "Enable Merge Tags in Page Content". Can you please recheck?

P.S. Also keep in mind that E2Pdf Template must be connected to correct form and must be activated.

Hi,

Thank you. We got your payment and already assigned License Key to you. You must be able to find it at https://e2pdf.com/dashboard/licenses.

It must not be issues with using nested forms, however "Visual Mapper" still doesn't support it, we are preparing update. Currently you can just put values manually as format below:

{Nested Form:1:filter[2],index[0]}

* Where 2 is Field ID inside nested form and 0 is number of index nested entry to output data.

Have a couple of questions.

1. How do add a new support ticket? I cannot find the button to add a new support ticket.
2. How do I split a form field from one pdf and then continue to the next pdf? This video has features that mine does not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZNxz_JZ3d0
I am using Gravity Forms.

Hi,

1. We provide support via "Help Desk" unless it required login to WordPress Admin Dashboard or FTP, so if you are interested in any question you can just create "New Topic" in needed section. Topic also can be marked as "Private" upon creation if you want it to be hidden.

2. To "Split" content over pages it must be used "HTML" object and it seems you are using some type of PDF field. You can create "HTML" object via "Drag&Drop" from "Build PDF" metabox. Screenshot attached.

Great the image you provided to use the html works. Just one question please, it combines all the words together with no paragraph or line breaks. When you fill out the form you can add line breaks but the html I added on E2PDF takes those out. Is there a way to keep those line breaks?

See images

Hi,

If you have only one field inside "HTML" block, you can just set "New Lines to BR" inside "HTML" blocks property. (Screenshot attached).

OR

Wrap the shortcode with [e2pdf-format-output] with "nl2br" filter:
[e2pdf-format-output filter="nl2br"]{Field Name:92}[/e2pdf-format-output]

Video how to create new topics:
