Ultimate Member Meta Data

We have Ultimate Member to manage user data. The data is stored as Extra Profile information. We are testing with your 1 page version and uploaded a PDF Form that looks great. However, we can't figure how to map the Ultimate Member data to the form. Also, we we only want users to view/print a PDF, not change the data. We tried the short code of [meta key="job_title"] as an example... but that short code shows, not any actual meta data. I looked for an article / documentation, but no luck.

Hi,

Sorry, it was not added to our documentation page, we updated docs: https://e2pdf.com/support/docs#shortcode-e2pdf-user

You can try to use [e2pdf-user key="job_title"] - it must output user meta value for "job_title" key, for current authorized user which downloads PDF.

P.S. [meta key="job_title"] - works to get meta data from WordPress Page/Post where shortcode located, if you are using WordPress extension.

I appreciate the quick response. I updated our form, but it just shows the short code, not the data of the profile. . I even tried the meta="true". I attached a PDF with images so you can see the meta data and how the form looked when I "View Saved".

Thank you!

"View Saved" will not convert any shortcodes. To test if it's working on backend you need to export data via "E2Pdf" -> "Export". Depending to which Extension is connected E2Pdf Template you will need also to choose "Dataset". User ID also can be selected at backend upon export.

How do I let users do that? Is that a page shortcode?

If your E2Pdf Template connected to "WordPress" extension, and item is set to "Pages" (screenshot attached), you can just place shortcode on needed WordPress Page:

[e2pdf-download id="1"]

* where 1 is the ID of your E2Pdf Template.

Depending on Logged In user - E2Pdf will generate different links, in-spite you are using same shortcode as E2Pdf Template for WordPress extension can be connected only to WordPress Pages/Posts, Custom Post types, but not "Users".

Ok... you have been fantastic! I was able to do the export and create the link for a download. I will ask the accounting folks to purchase the license this week.

Thank you!

We purchased and installed the 10 template license... but now something new. On the test, I imported a PDF. Now when i try to do an import, it says it only accepts XML. I reviewed all the settings a couple of times, and don't see what i'm missing. I do not have the document we want to use as XML, nor did we for the trial.

Hi,

Do you need to create new E2Pdf Template with pre-made PDF? Is it correct? If so, you are in incorrect place. This is menu to import "backups" and not PDFs.

To create new E2Pdf Template with pre-made PDF just go to "E2Pdf" -> "Templates" -> "Add New", from the popup choose needed "Extension" and "Item" and click "Upload PDF".
